Start with a programme that fits your previous education, language and funding. For Belarusian applicants, document assessment deserves early attention; admission and scholarship administration are separate processes.

Lithuania has universities and colleges of higher education. Universities award Bachelor’s, Master’s and doctoral degrees; colleges offer professionally oriented qualifications. Check the exact award and whether it gives access to your intended next level. SKVC explains the structure.

For a Bachelor’s application, establish whether your school qualification meets entry requirements. For a Master’s, compare your previous subject and credits with programme prerequisites. For a PhD, read the university’s doctoral admission call, research topics and funding conditions. An advertised doctoral tuition price does not establish whether a funded place is available.

Fees are programme-specific. The European Commission profile gives indicative annual starting figures of €1,300 for Bachelor’s and €2,300 for Master’s study, rather than quotations for a particular programme. Check state calls and the chosen institution’s funding. EHU’s programme directory is relevant to explore, but does not by itself confirm an open scholarship. For EU4Belarus SALT III, the State Studies Foundation page concerns administration for selected students. Do not mistake recipient registration for a new scholarship competition. The accessible evidence did not establish an open general SALT III intake.

Apply through the chosen institution’s stated route. Record the intake, online submission steps and any separate recognition request. Ask about incomplete or unavailable documents before the deadline. There is no single deadline for every institution. The Commission describes June as common for autumn applications, but the actual programme may close earlier or later. Treat that month as planning context only. Check the deadline for your citizenship and country of previous education.

Confirm the teaching language, required level, accepted certificates and any waiver process on the programme page. An English-taught degree can still involve practical placements with additional language needs. Ask about those before choosing the course.

Ask whether the university conducts recognition or directs you to SKVC. For Belarusian secondary education, SKVC lists the school certificate, a school letter about leaving-examination results, and centralised exam and/or testing results. Use the Migration Department’s MIGRIS service and ask the institution which current procedure applies to you. The Commission study profile contains general work guidance, but detailed nationality- and permit-specific rules were not independently resolved here. Confirm work conditions with the authority before accepting employment; do not rely on a general statement that enrolment alone gives permission.
