There is no single decision that makes every Belarusian qualification automatically accepted for every purpose across Europe.

Define what recognition is for

Admission to a course, recognition of completed credits and permission to practise a regulated profession are separate tasks. Start by asking the receiving institution what assessment it needs for your intended purpose.

Find the responsible body

Use the ENIC NARIC network to locate national guidance. Lithuania has SKVC and institutional recognition routes; Poland provides guidance through NAWA. German university applications may involve the university or uni-assist. A database entry is useful orientation, but it does not guarantee admission.

Check your exact qualification

Record the diploma title, awarding institution, award date and whether the programme was completed. Obtain the transcript or supplement where possible. Ask about the accepted form, translations and any authentication requirements before paying for them.

If evidence is missing

Explain what is unavailable and ask the responsible body about an alternative assessment. Do not assume that every displaced person qualifies for the same exception. If obtaining documents creates a risk, say so privately. Keep the written assessment and check whether it applies only to one institution or has broader validity.

Your checklist
