The scholarship is intended to cover the essential costs of living and studying in the Czech Republic. The amount of the scholarship varies according to the type of study programme and currently stands at: 16 000 CZK for students in a follow-up master’s degree programmes, 24 960 CZK for students in a doctoral degree programmes. Scholarship holders have the option of accommodation in student dormitories and meals in student canteens. The costs of accommodation, meals and public transport are covered by the scholarship holders from their scholarship, under the same conditions as those applicable to students who are citizens of the Czech Republic. Tuition fees are paid on behalf of the scholars
Eligibility
For the academic year 2027/2028, Czech Government scholarships are offered exclusively to citizens of the following countries: Bosnia and Herzegovina, Georgia, Ukraine, Belarus (democratic opposition); Ethiopia, Gabon, Mauritania, Zambia; Bangladesh, Cambodia, Palestine; Guatemala, Honduras. Only nationals of the countries listed above who are not enrolled at a university in the Czech Republic at the time of the submission of their application may apply for a scholarship under this call for applications. Citizens of the Czech Republic, citizens of the European Union and other foreign nationals with permanent residence permits in the Czech Republic are not eligible for the scholarship.
